So what do you really want in life, Hunting Pokemon or hunting skills?


With the advent of video games, MMORG(Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games) and now AR(Augmented Reality) for which Pokémon Go has raise the bar as far as video gaming is concerned.

Adults and children were extremely devoting their time to learn new skills and to be the best on every games they want. Sounds so great but then, what about the skills they needed to learn to help them as they struggle in this circle of life?

Not unless if you want to have a career path in playing games for the sake of money, just like those DOTA players gunning to win the prestigious prize the highest ever in computer games. "Dota 2 breaks its own record for biggest prize pool in e-sports". Or maybe follow this guy who quits his job to play Pokemon GO full time?

But then, what if you want to learn skills in Information Technology aside from the one you've learned in schools? Sometimes you need to splash a certain amount of money just to have those basic skills or to be tied-up to your current company through workshops and seminars.

Before, it is really so hard to acquire certain skills if you have less money. But now, with the power of internet and open-source, sharing knowledge is at far the best the internet has to offer. You had the Youtube and other knowledge resource websites that is free, and one of is Codecademy.

Codecademy really pushes the boundary in acquiring skills and knowledge in terms of Information Technology. Either your a novice or a hot-shot programmer, learning new skills is really a need for everyone who wants to succeed.

In Codecademy, you can learn lots of programming languages and frameworks that makes you at par in programming. You can learn from basic programming; namely, Javascript, Htmpl, Python, Ruby on rails, Sql database metrics and many more.

So what it is you really want in life, Hunting Pokemon or hunting skills?

Me, being a SAP ABAP developer, I still put a fraction of my free time to learn new skills through Codecademy. As a matter of fact, I've just finished three(3) courses and aiming to learn more.
